SALT LAKE CITY — The Senate Judicial Confirmation Committee on Monday unanimously recommended the full Senate approve the nomination of Brody Keisel as 6th District Juvenile Court judge.

Keisel is set to replace retiring Judge Paul Lyman.

Keisel previously served as Sanpete County attorney, municipal prosecutor in Manti, and as deputy Sanpete County attorney. He has been responsible for 6th District Court prosecutions since 2003, and is an adjunct professor in criminal law at Snow College. He received a Juris Doctor from the University of Nebraska School of Law.

Keisel introduced himself to the committee and said he and his family are ready for the challenge.
