SMITHFIELD, R.I. (AP) — Keith Braxton and Jamaal King each scored a career-high 29 points and St. Francis of Pennsylvania beat Bryant 86-82 in overtime Sunday.
Braxton hit a 3-pointer and King added a layup for an 84-79 lead in overtime.
Taylor McHugh answered with a basket with 2:12 left but both teams went scoreless before Adam Grant made a free throw with 12 seconds remaining. He missed the second free throw and a jump ball resulted with possession going to St. Francis (7-6, 1-1 Northeast). Andre Wolford finished the scoring with two free throws for the Red Flash and Grant missed a 3-pointer.
St. Francis trailed by nine with 9½ minutes left in regulation before going ahead with two minutes to go. Grant hit a long 3-pointer with 11 seconds remaining to force overtime
Braxton, who made five 3-pointers, had 11 rebounds and eight assists, and Wolford, with four 3-pointers, scored 18.
Bosko Kostur made five 3-pointers and scored 23 points with 10 rebounds for the Bulldogs (1-14, 0-2). Sabastian Townes added 22 points. Ikenna Ndugba had 12 assists and nine rebounds.
