MURRAY, Ky. (AP) — Jonathan Stark scored 27 points and Murray State beat SIU-Edwardsville 87-63 in an Ohio Valley Conference matchup on Saturday night.

Stark was 7 of 10 from the field and 5 of 7 from beyond the arc for the Racers (10-3, 2-0) who have won three straight. Shaq Buchanan and Bryon Hawkins added 11 points apiece and Ja Morant had 10.

Stark drained three 3-pointers and Buchanan made a dunk as part of a 16-8 run to open the second half, extending Murray State's 43-34 intermission lead to 59-42 with 14:47 to play. Brion Sanchious made a layup and a dunk back-to-back to push it to 71-48 with 8:38 left and the Racers cruised from there.

Daniel Kinchen had 13 points, Brandon Jackson had 12 and Jalen Henry 10 for the Cougars (4-9, 0-2) who are on a three-game slide.
