KAYSVILLE, Utah (AP) -- The Davis County Health Department is on a smokeout.
The county's air quality bureau is encouraging drivers to report vehicles that are discharging so much exhaust it looks like smoke. County officials are handing out what they're calling "Smoking Vehicle" cards.
The cards list the number where people can call in vehicles they think need an exhaust checkup.
Owners of the suspect vehicles will have to bring them in for an emissions test.
County officials say as the population grows, more people are on the road and that makes it harder to keep up with Environmental Protection Agency air quality guidelines.
