Cyclist hit, killed in Logan identified as 83-year-old North Logan man

LOGAN — Police have identified an 83-year-old man killed Friday when he was hit by a truck while riding his bicycle across Main Street.

Elrod Taylor Woodbury, of North Logan, was attempting to ride from east to west across Main Street on Friday morning when he rode in front of a northbound pickup truck, according to Logan police.

The truck hit the cyclist near 1475 North. Woodbury was taken by ambulance to Logan Regional Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police reported.

Investigators say the fatal crash appears to be a tragic accident.
