LOGAN — An elderly bicyclist died after he was struck by a pickup truck Friday morning, police said.
Police responded to a report of a crash around 1475 N. Main at approximately 11:15 a.m., according to Logan Police Cpt. Curtis Hooley.
The bicyclist, a man in his 80s from the Cache County area, was traveling west across Main Street when he was struck by a Ford F-150 traveling north, Hooley said. The bicyclist was taken to a hospital where he died from his injuries.
The man’s name was not immediately released.
Hooley said it didn’t appear that impairment factored in the crash. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
“It’s looking like it’s a terrible accident,” he said.
