THE BRIDGE — If your friend jumped off a bridge would you? Well, I know 245 people who would say "yes."
This video comes to us from Sao Paulo, Brazil, and it's pretty simple, really. Two-hundred and forty-five people jumped off this bridge at the same time in an attempt to break a world record. The previous unofficial record for this was 149, so these thrill seekers destroyed that number, but the record still hasn't been officially recognized, which begs the question: what's the deal, Guinness?
A hundred and forty-nine people leaped off a bridge and couldn't get your attention. So now 245 people do it and nothing. I mean you have a record for the fastest bed maker. How many people need to jump off a bridge to be good enough for you? I know you don't just hand these records out, you've got to really earn it, but how does this not? Or maybe you don't really have to earn it, I mean you've also got largest dog wedding and most snails on face. But I guess 245 people coordinating and jumping off a bridge is just a little too low brow for you.
Yesterday's Have You Seen This?
Man, I'm really bugged by this. I didn't know how much so until I started writing this. Who wants to start our own world record company where we can get these people a record and stop handing out records to people like the guy who spent 16 years of his life typing the numbers from one to one million.
