The airport was ranked 8th in the nation in the magazine's 11th Annual Business Travel awards.

The annual survey asks business travelers about their experience with location/access, customs/baggage, food/shops/amenities and safety/security. Portland and Tampa virtually tied for first place.

The poll was taken by an even number of men and women that travel frequently for business. A quarter of the travelers spend two months or more on the road each year and a tenth travel overseas more than five times annually for business.

"This is a remarkable achievement for our airport," comments Maureen Riley, Executive Director of the Salt Lake City Department of Airports, "To be included on this list puts us in prestigious company in the aviation industry. I give credit to our staff and tenant partners that have earned this reputation despite the many challenges that face our industry."

From over 2,500 surveys, the top ten airport results with their average score are:

  • Portland 51.6
  • Tampa 51.4
  • Washington Reagan 47.1
  • Milwaukee 42.4
  • Orlando 39.5
  • Minneapolis-St. Paul 39.0
  • Long Beach 38.0
  • Salt Lake City 37.8
  • Pittsburgh 37.7
  • San Diego 37.3
