MILLCREEK — Police have identified a man and woman who were killed in what officials called a head-on collision Saturday morning.

Francisco Perez-Olvera, 42, and Summer Dudley, 27, died after a two-car head-on crash near 4200 South and 700 East about 6:30 a.m. Both were the drivers of the cars involved, according to Unified Police Lt. Brian Lohrke.

One of the drivers may have drifted into oncoming traffic, Lohrke said. Details about which driver may have drifted were not immediately available.

Lohrke was not sure if drugs, alcohol or excessive speed were factors in the crash.

"Our condolences go to both of their families. Investigators are still working on the cause of the crash," UPD said via Twitter Saturday evening.

Both southbound lanes of 700 East were temporarily closed between 4100 and 4300 South while police investigated the scene.
