MIDWAY — Authorities are seeking the public’s help in identifying a man they say robbed a bank at gunpoint Tuesday afternoon.

Deputies responded to a report of a robbery at the Grand Valley Bank, 92 W. Main, about 2 p.m., Wasatch County Sheriff’s Office said.

Witnesses told deputies a man walked into the bank holding a gun and demanded cash before fleeing the bank on foot northbound toward 100 West.

The Sheriff’s Office said the FBI, Utah Highway Patrol, Utah State Parks and Heber City police are assisting in the investigation.

The man is described as white and 6-feet tall. He was wearing a blue bandana over the lower half of his face and a white towel over a part of his head and a backpack on the front of his chest.

The man also wore a gray long sleeve shirt, dark pants, white shoes, black gloves and black sunglasses.

Anyone with information on the identity of the man or his whereabouts is encouraged to call the Wasatch County Sheriff’s Office at 435-654-1411.
