(KSL News) -- The Environmental Protection Agency says land in Salt Lake County is now ready for development.
The EPA and Midvale City says the parcel of land is near the city's west border. The Bingham Junction Superfund site encompasses 220 acres of land near the corner of 7200 South and 700 West.
The property took 17 months to clean. City officials say the property will have UTOPIA fiber optics available, and will have its own TRAX stop.
Bingham Junction was once home to the Sharon Steel plant. It was designated as a superfund site in 1982.
