TOOELE COUNTY — Authorities have found the car of a man who went missing from West Bountiful last week, but the man still has not been found.

Around 3 p.m. Saturday, police found John Page’s car near the Tooele and Box Elder county line in the Lakeside Mountains, according to Tooele police Lt. Ron Johnson.

Page is still missing. He may have stopped the car and gone on a hike in the mountains, Johnson said.

Nothing was suspicious about the car, which was found in working order, according to Johnson.

Search and rescue teams from Davis, Tooele and Box Elder counties have been searching the mountains for the last few days, along with a Department of Public Services helicopter.

Page was last seen at the Maverik Gas Station at 1265 W. Parrish Lane in Centerville on Monday, July 24. On Thursday, his family members reported him missing.

He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a blue and white checkered shirt and a blue hat. He is about 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighs 160 pounds with gray hair and hazel eyes.

Anyone with information about Page’s whereabouts is encouraged to call West Bountiful police at 801-298-6000.
