ROCK SPRINGS, Wyo. (AP) — Authorities say human remains found in southwestern Wyoming are those of a Superior man who was reported missing in 2015. Sweetwater County Sheriff Mike Lowell and Coroner Dale Majhanovich said in a joint statement Friday that dental records helped identify the man as 59-year-old Darrell Sowder, whose body was found by a cadaver search dog Tuesday. Investigators have not said how he died.

RAWLINS, Wyo. (AP) — A south-central Wyoming county is making contingency plans in case it's cloudy in Casper in the hours leading to the total lunar eclipse on Aug. 21 and tens of thousands of people suddenly descend on Carbon County chasing clear skies. Emergency management coordinator John Zeiger tells the Rawlins Daily Times that traffic will be the main concern, but there could be limits to cellular communications and medical issues for people who aren't prepared for the heat, altitude and rattlesnakes.

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — Some state lawmakers are expressing concern about ongoing drainage problems at the Wyoming State Penitentiary in Rawlins. Project manager Ian Catellier says some drainage work has been done. Other work to stabilize the building will have to wait until next year.

JACKSON, Wyo. (AP) — A national increase in demand for seasonal foreign workers is affecting businesses in the Jackson area. The Jackson Hole News and Guide reported Wednesday that the number of requests for H-2B visas in Wyoming and in Jackson Hole is on the rise.
