American Fork schools are writing parents about stranger danger following a triple scare.
Three times over the past few weeks, students at different schools in American Fork say they had people in cars approach them talking as if they wanted the kids to get in.
The last one happened Tuesday between Shelly Elementary School and American Fork Junior High School. "The people involved were driving different vehicles, and the descriptions of the people were all very different," said Rhonda Bromley, spokeswoman for the Alpine School District.
Bromley says district officials have used phone calls and letters to remind parents who have children near the affected schools to talk with them about safety.
Police say from what the kids have told them, they're not calling these attempted abductions but, rather, suspicious activity.
