WEST VALLEY CITY — The car police were searching for in connection with a fatal hit-and-run earlier this week has been found and impounded, police said.
On Friday night, West Valley City police tweeted the black, four-door Lexus sedan "was located on a residential street in Taylorsville. There was no one in the car when found."
Police began searching for the car Wednesday after Jeremy Hardman, 47, was hit and killed in the intersection 4100 South and 3600 West. Witnesses told police Hardman was run down by the Lexus following an argument with another man over the man's treatment of a dog.
The homicide investigation was ongoing Friday, police said. They are looking for a man witnesses described as Hispanic, in his late 20s or early 30s, with a muscular build and brown hair in a buzz cut.
Anyone with information about the driver is asked to contact West Valley police at 801-840-4000.
