(KSL News) -- The Davis County Library announced it will not pull a book from the shelves that includes illustrations of unclothed mermaids.
The book, "Voyage of the Basset" is a story of a 19th century professor that takes a magical journey with his family.
Illustrations in the book were done by artist James C. Christensen, a former art professor at Brigham Young University. Some library patrons say the illustrations could be seen as pornography.
A member of the library board says the library doesn't rate books, it just makes them available.
