LEHI — A man has been arrested in connection with a Saturday chase on I-15 that sent a Bluffdale police officer to the hospital with minor injuries and wrecked his patrol car.
Aaron Michael Gudmundson, 34, was taken into custody about 3 a.m. Monday at a Midvale hotel, Lehi police said. Gudmundson was being held in the Utah County Jail for investigation of evading police, reckless endangerment and driving without insurance, according to Lt. Kenny Rose.

The Bluffdale officer sustained minor injuries Saturday evening after his patrol car rolled near the 10600 South on-ramp, landing in the emergency lane on the northbound side of the freeway. The accident snarled traffic.
The chase began in Lehi about 7:30 p.m. when officers attempted to stop a vehicle for a registration violation. The driver ignored police lights and continued north on I-15.
After the rollover, police stopped the chase but continued seeking the driver, Utah Highway Patrol Lt. Todd Royce said Saturday.
The Bluffdale officer was transported to a hospital as a precaution, Royce said.
