(KSL News) Jasen Calacino has pleaded guilty to charges of abuse and desecration of a human body.
He is charged with a third-degree felony in connection to the death of a friend.
Calacino and then-girlfriend, Macall Aubrey Petersen, dumped Amelia Sorich's body in the foothills near Bountiful after she overdosed on heroin.
Defense attorney Greg Skordas says Calacino is a good kid in a tragic situation. Sentencing is scheduled for October.
