Ogden police are looking for the driver of a vehicle that hit a skateboarder in Ogden last night.
The skateboarder, Michael Hales, was swerving down the sidewalk on 14th Street at Washington Boulevard when he was hit. It happened at an entrance to a market parking lot. Hales landed on the hood of a champagne-colored Windstar van.
"It wasn't until about 11 minutes later that the victim called police," said Ogden Police Lt. Scott Sangberg.
He says Hales suffered some rib and shoulder pain and threw his skateboard at the vehicle.
"He probably shouldn't have thrown his skateboard at the vehicle. Maybe they would have stayed if the skateboard hadn't been thrown," he said.
Police are looking for the driver but don't have a detailed description of her.
