SALT LAKE CITY — Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a man wanted in connection with a string of robberies from Layton to Provo.

Salt Lake City police said they are looking for Brett Michael Edmunds, 41, in connection to the robberies. Officers said they do not know where he has been staying lately.

Police asked for the public’s help in identifying the man on April 4 after linking him to five robberies in the Salt Lake Valley in March. Salt Lake police added that he has since been linked to multiple robberies stretching from Layton to Provo, which have involved businesses and banks.

Edmunds is described as a white man approximately 6 feet tall with a husky build, short brown hair and hazel or brown eyes. In multiple robberies, he has worn a camouflage hat and brown coat.

Anyone with information about the robberies or the man is encouraged to contact police at 801-799-3000 or text 274637 with the words “TIPSLCPD” before the tip.
