AMERICAN FORK – American Fork police are asking for the public’s help in locating a 44-year-old missing, endangered man.

Michael Sean McAllister was last seen around 9 a.m. on April 2 by his mother at their home in American Fork, police said in a news release.

McAllister left in his car that morning but he left his cellphone, medications and other personal items. His mother told police she thought he had only gone to the gas station because he didn’t take his personal belongings with him. Although McAllister has left home a few times before, he has always returned or been found within a couple days of leaving, police said.

According to police, McAllister has multiple medical conditions, which require consistent medication to avoid serious medical emergencies. His mother told police he has a diminished mental capacity.

He may be attracted to canyons and foothills in Utah and Salt Lake Counties. Authorities also believe he may have traveled to Denver, Colorado, Mesa County or Garfield County.

McAllister is a white male with blue eyes, brown hair and a has bushy beard. He is approximately 5 feet, 11 inches tall and weighs 230 pounds. Police said it is not known what McAllister was last wearing.

McAllister was driving a light blue, 2000 Toyota Tundra with Utah license plate 430WUZ registered to his name.

Police ask that anyone with information on McAllister or his whereabouts contact the American Fork Police Department via Utah Valley Dispatch at 801-794-3970.
