SALT LAKE CITY — An Ogden couple who allegedly watched child pornography together faces federal charges that could land them in prison for decades.

Jason David Lott, 32, is charged with distribution of child pornography, possession of child pornography, and possession of a firearm and ammunition following a felony conviction. His wife, Camila Mae Bergeson, 22, is charged with possession of child pornography. Both pleaded not guilty in U.S. District Court.

An FBI agent conducting an online investigation of a child pornography-sharing computer network traced an IP address to Lott and Bergeson's home, according to court documents. The downloaded files included sexually explicit images and videos of infants, toddlers and prepubescent children.

Agents armed with a search warrant seized a computer and other devices from the couple on March 16. Agents also found a 12-gauge shotgun and ammunition.

Lott, a registered sex offender convicted of sexual exploitation of a minor in 2009, admitted to having the sharing program on his computer and to using a program to wipe his computer once a week, prosecutors say.

Bergeson admitted to looking at videos and images of child pornography on the computer with her husband, according to prosecutors. She admitted they looked at child pornography every other week for the past six months and erased the images after viewing them.

A jury trial is scheduled for May. Lott is in custody. Bergeson is on supervised release, including a requirement that she get a full-time job.

Lott faces 15 to 40 years in prison and Bergeson up to 20 years if convicted.
