A school in Weber County has done away with homework altogether. Roy Elementary launched a pilot program this year that encourages students to spend more time with family and to get exercise outside rather than working inside on math and spelling.
Weber School District officials say the response from parents, faculty and especially the kids has been positive. But what could the impact of the program be in the long term?
Dr. Dan Olympia, a professor of Education Psychology at the University of Utah, is weighing in tonight in Talking Point.
