OROVILLE, Calif. (AP) — Engineers are planning to plug the hole in an emergency spillway at the Oroville Dam in Northern California by using helicopters to drop rocks into the crevasse. That's according to the Butte County sheriff who says state water resource officials told him that erosion on the spillway isn't advancing as fast as they thought. Cities near the dam are being evacuated in case the spillway fails.

UNDATED (AP) — The Northeast is bracing for another major snowstorm. Winter storm warnings are in effect from upstate New York to Maine, where blizzard conditions and 2 feet of snow are possible. Wind gusts of more than 50 mph and coastal flooding could hit parts of the region. In Massachusetts, a 60-year-old man was struck and killed by a snowplow Sunday in the parking lot of the Veterans Affairs hospital in Bedford.

SEOUL, South Korea (AP) — The U.N. Security Council is expected to meet Monday to discuss North Korea's latest ballistic missile launch. The United States, Japan and South Korea have requested an urgent meeting of the Council. President Donald Trump and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe learned about the launch while in Florida together. Abe called the move "absolutely intolerable," while Trump said the U.S. stands behind Japan "100 percent."

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Donald Trump is looking forward to a busy week. He'll meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau at the White House. Trump and Trudeau will participate in a round table discussion about women in the workforce on Monday. A White House official says the two nations will launch a task force to advance women business leaders and female entrepreneurs.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — An apologetic Adele has accepted the song of the year Grammy for "Hello," sharing it with the song's writer and producer, Greg Kurstin. Minutes before coming on stage to accept the trophy the singer had started, stopped and then restarted a musical tribute to the late singer-songwriter George Michael. As she prepared to start again she let out a four-letter word. She apologized for swearing in her acceptance speech.
