SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- The Utah Supreme Court will hear an appeal in the case of the children of Heidi Mattingly and polygamist John Daniel Kingston.
The court has set an October 2nd date to hear the appeal brought by the attorney who has been representing the children's interests in the case.
Kristin Brewer is asking the high court to review a juvenile judge's order allowing six of the couple's eleven children to return to their mother's care.
In August of last year, Lindsley found that Mattingly had sufficiently complied with court orders to regain custody of the children.
Two of the couple's children had already been returned to her care. An infant daughter born during the child welfare case always remained with Mattingly. The couple eventually relinquished parental rights to the two teenage girls who sparked the case.
