ENTERPRISE, Washington County — A man died after a crash between a semitruck and an SUV on SR-18, Utah Highway Patrol said Monday night.
At approximately 6 p.m., a semitruck pulling an empty tanker was traveling southbound on SR-18 near milepost 38. A Volvo SUV was traveling northbound at the same location. The Volvo crossed the centerline and struck head-on with the trailer, UHP said.
Upon arrival, medical crews declared the male driver of the Volvo dead at the scene.
UHP said there was only one occupant in the SUV. There were light snow flurries in the area and the surface of the roadway was wet, but UHP did not officially declare those as contributors to the crash.
UHP said drugs or alcohol are not suspected as contributors to the crash.
The identity of the deceased was not released pending notification of next of kin.
