THE STADIUM — Whether you admit it or not, a life goal of yours is to show up on the jumbotron at a sporting event.

You know it's true. While I've always wanted that honor, I've never had it. Truth is, I don't know what I'd do. I'd likely try to dance and dishonor my family's name and be banished to a land full of monsters and rhythmless trolls.

But I may have more luck if I take a few cues from this little guy.

At a recent Detroit Red Wings game against the Anaheim Ducks, the jumbotron camera person landed on a little kid, and the crowd went wild. All the little tyke had to do was smile, and the place erupted. But the camera went to another fan, and the crowd immediately booed. The camera then went back to the shaggy-haired tot in a Red Wings jersey, and the place went wild again.

Yesterday's Have You Seen This?

Every time the camera focused on someone else, the crowd was having none of it, not even when they cut to players on the ice. The crowd wanted the happy little fan. It's one of the most adorable things you've ever seen.

Now that I've seen this, I've realized I don't deserve to be on the jumbotron. Just always show kids — that's what the people want. Before you know it we're going to see these signs in yards across America: Little Red Wings Fan 2020.
