WEST JORDAN, Utah (AP) -- A man accused of stabbing his son to death during an argument over ten dollars will soon be sentenced.
Yesterday, 40-year-old Gerald Virgil Fain pleaded guilty to second degree manslaughter in the death of 19-year-old Gerald Virgil Fain Junior last year.
The father also pleaded guilty to domestic violence in the presence of a child because his two other kids, ages 11 and 12, witnessed the stabbing.
According to court testimony, Fain's son broke a table after his father refused to pay him ten dollars for his refinishing work. The father then reacted by stabbing the teen in the chest with a ten-inch knife.
