NEW YORK (AP) — Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts has named Debora L. Spar as its next president and chief executive officer.
Board Chairman Katherine Farley announced the appointment on Wednesday.
Spar will make her Lincoln Center debut in mid-March. Jed Bernstein left the post last April.
Spar has made her mark in the academic world as president of New York's Barnard College and, before that, as a Harvard Business School professor.
Until she arrives, Farley will continue to oversee a transition team led by chief operating officer Liza Parker.
