(KSL News) Many families faced with hard times are forced to give up their pets because they can't afford to feed them.
The Animal Advocacy Alliance reports area shelters are filling up with pets, and tonight they're trying to do something to help.
They want to organize a pet food bank. The hope is the animal food bank would work in unison with existing food banks through the state.
A meeting will be held tonight at the Sandy Pavilion located at 8680 S. 530 East at 6:30 p.m.
