LAYTON, Utah (AP) -- Suzanne Moon has a secret for staying young -- 50 years of teaching kindergartners.

The 74-year-old starts her 50th year teaching this fall and says she has no retirement date in sight. Moon renewed her teaching license this year.

Moon started teaching in the Salt Lake City district in 1956, but has spent most of her career teaching in Davis County. She's been at her current school, Lincoln Elementary, for more than 20 years.

Moon estimates teaching more than 3,000 children over the course of her career.

She says teaching keeps her young and she can still "skip and jump and hop with my kids."

Principal Christine Whitaker says she doesn't want Moon to retire.
