NEW YORK (AP) — There's more Alexander Hamilton excitement coming to New York City in January.
Sotheby's says it will offer a trove of Hamilton documents that were handed down through his family.
The archive includes many personal documents, including the love letters of Hamilton and his wife, Eliza.
There's also a condolence letter Eliza got from her father, Philip Schuyler, after Hamilton died in a duel with Aaron Burr.
One document marks Hamilton's appointment as aide-de-camp to Gen. George Washington. It has a presale estimate of $150,000 to $250,000.
Another lot will feature a lock of Hamilton's hair with a presentation letter from his wife. Its estimate is $15,000 to $25,000.
The auction is set for Jan. 18 in Manhattan.
