The Utah State Fair is expected to draw thousands of people this weekend. Many will pretty much give up on the idea of a diet, but it seems it will be worth the cost.

I couldn't resist asking a woman from Sandy for a taste-test as she held a big, deep-fried sausage dog. "It's spicy," she said.

Not far away, a mother and her boys bit into their corn dogs and fries. "Junk food day. It's junk food day, boys," the mother said. The boys started hopping up and down, singing "Junk food day."

I also noticed some vanilla ice cream waffle cones for dessert. "It makes me feel happy. It makes me feel energetic," said a woman who was eating one.
