SALT LAKE CITY — Three more fun stories from the world of sports in today's From Left Field!
1. Defense via shoe throwing
I'm not sure Clippers coach Doc Rivers drew it up this way, but here was the play Wednesday night against the Raptors:
Step 1: Have Jamal Crawford lose his shoe.
Step 2: Have Blake Griffin throw the shoe at Chris Paul's defender, Cory Joseph
Step 3: ???
Step 4: Profit!
I don't think Griffin was actually trying to hit Joseph on purpose, but it's still a crazy bit of NBA action.
2. High fives causing injuries
Have you ever had a competition with your friends to see how hard you can high five each other? Word to the wise: don't.
After Tuesday's AL Wild Card game, Russell Martin split open his pinky giving a solid high five to an unidentified teammate. He needed stitches!
Be careful out there.
3. Alley-oop golf shot
When I first read the description of this next video, I thought to myself "what could an alley-oop golf shot possibly be? It's not like you can use your hands in mid air in golf!" Well, it's this:
You could practice this for a hundred hours and never come close. pic.twitter.com/DIaSrOhCEi — SB Nation (@SBNation) October 5, 2016
And, I'll admit, it was pretty cool.
