SALT LAKE CITY — The popularity of cosplay continues to grow around the world and it was reflected in the number and quality of cosplay at 2016 Salt Lake Comic Con.
There were 17 panels this year focusing on cosplay. Everything was covered from "Cosplay Dad: Taking Parenthood to a Whole New Level" to "Forging with Thermoplastics: Make Anything You Need for Your Cosplay."
This year, over 300 cosplayers entered the cosplay contest, which capped off the convention in the Grand Ballroom of the Salt Palace Convention Center Saturday night. Some of these were first timers and others have been doing this for years. Some do it alone and others do it as friends and families. Some focus on the details of their costume while others focus on embodying their character. They all have something in common though— the passion for their craft.
Here are many of the best cosplays from this year's convention.
