Some college students from Utah are skipping classes this week to attend the Democratic National Convention in Denver, but they support John McCain.

This is the first week of school at the University of Utah, but students with the group College Republicans are in Denver handing out information and doing honk and waves.

Chairwoman Heather Berg says they've had some surprised reactions. "We came here with the underlying message that we want to have a positive impact on people," Berg says.

She says they've been on the street 12 hours a day this week. "We know we are not going to convert any delegates, but we want to show support to the Colorado Republicans, Berg says.

She says they also have a BYU and BYU-Idaho student with them to show Barack Obama does not have all the young vote.
