(KSL News) A mother in Eagle Mountain turned her back on her toddler for just a minute, and he almost drowned.
Utah County Sheriff's deputies say the 2-year-old boy was in a life vest, but that his mother had taken it off in order to change his diaper.
He apparently got back in the water when she wasn't looking and was underwater when she found him.
The boy was breathing and coughing up large amounts of water when he was pulled from the pool. He was airlifted to Primary Children's Medical Center as a precaution.
