NEW YORK (AP) — It's an unusual reversal for Donald Trump, who rarely admits he's made a mistake. But he says he did so when he claimed to have seen video of a U.S. cash payment being flown to Iran. He now admits that it was video of a plane taking four freed Americans out of Iran. He has said the video showed the U.S. paying off Iran as part of a deal to release Americans from Iranian custody. The Obama administration has denied that it was a ransom payment.

CHICAGO (AP) — The head of the agency that investigates Chicago police misconduct says video related to an officer's fatal shooting of an 18-year-old suspect in a car theft is "shocking and disturbing." The video is being released today from the shooting death of Paul O'Neal, whose autopsy results showed he died of a gunshot wound to the back. Three officers were stripped of their police powers after investigators found they had violated department policy in the shooting last month.

NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Cleanup is underway after a tornado and high winds caused damage in several New Orleans neighborhoods. City crews were out early this morning removing debris from streets and sidewalks. Officials report two minor injuries after a tornado with 80 mile-an-hour winds cut through the city's 7th Ward and Treme (treh-MAY') neighborhoods near the French Quarter yesterday afternoon.

RIO DE JANEIRO (AP) — As the Olympic torch makes its way through Rio de Janeiro, the big question is: Will Pele show up? The former soccer star — Brazil's most famous athlete — said this week he was invited to take part in the opening ceremonies for the 2016 Summer Olympics, but business deals were stopping him from doing it. Millions of television viewers from around the world are expected to watch the three-hour ceremony in Rio de Janeiro tonight. It culminates in the lighting of the Olympic cauldron.

MONTREAL (AP) — A Canadian waiter is facing charges for alleged criminal negligence after a restaurant patron suffered a severe allergic reaction to salmon. Police say the customer repeatedly told the waiter about his seafood allergy and ordered beef tartare instead. And they say he asked the waiter to make sure the cooks knew about his allergy. The restaurant was dimly lit, and the customer thought he was being served beef -- but it was salmon. The diner went into shock, suffered cardiac arrest, and was in a coma for two days. The 22-year-old waiter was arrested this week.
