A man is dead in Logan, stabbed in the back, and the suspect may be the person who knew him best.
Logan police officers responded to a domestic dispute at the home at 187 W. 200 North. There, they found James Harper with the stab wound.
Police are pointing the finger right at James Harper's wife, Bonnie. Captain Eric Collins said, "The wife was found hiding just outside the home, and there was evidence to believe that she had been the person that had stabbed him."
Collins won't speculate on a motive. Bonnie Harper is currently being held on suspicion of homicide and intoxication.
Officers were already on their way to the home because of a domestic dispute. Court records obtained by the Deseret News show Bonnie Harper filed a restraining order against her husband in March, claiming abuse. James Harper was a registered sex offender.
