SALT LAKE CITY — Mitt Romney surprised boxing fans Saturday night when he jumped into the ring for a second time, helping to raise money for CharityVision.

The Utah-based nonprofit, which provides medical equipment and services to fight blindness across the world, joined with Golden Boy Promotions to host the second annual Fight Night at the Rail Event Center in Salt Lake City.

This year's main event featured boxing legend Oscar De La Hoya and "Extra" host Mario Lopez going head to head in the ring. But the fight ended when the two pros each tagged in a masked luchador to finish things up.

Romney, who spared with five-time World Heavyweight Champion Evander Holyfield in last year's event, was expected to stay on the sidelines this time. However, the 2012 GOP nominee for president and father of CharityVision president Josh Romney surprised everyone by jumping into the ring dressed as an additional masked luchador.

Romney "(amazed) the crowd with his technical skills and stretchy pants," according to a post on the CharityVision Facebook page.

As for De La Hoya and Lopez, there appeared to be no hard feelings over the match. Late Saturday night, Lopez tweeted a photo of the two sharing a friendly post-fight meal.

The 2015 fight between Romney and Holyfield raised $1 milllion for CharityVision; Saturday's event was expected to raise at least same amount of money.
