WELLS, Nev. (AP) -- Repairs have been completed to an earthquake-damaged school in Wells just in time for the start of the new school year.
Plans call for Wells Junior and Senior High School to reopen to students Monday. A portion of the school reopened in April.
Students were forced to attend classes in portable units outside the nearby elementary school after the magnitude 6.0 quake on Feb. 21.
The temblor also damaged hundreds of homes and the town's historical district. No one was hurt.
Principal Leslie Lotspeich says she received a temporary certificate of occupancy for the building except for the gymnasium, which she expects to receive later this week.
While the school will be ready for students, contractors will continue finishing work on the roof and vocational building after classes resume.
The school will receive a permanent certificate of occupancy after all work is completed.
The school's west wing, which includes four classrooms and the library, reopened in April.
