HUNTSVILLE, Weber County — Police confirmed Friday that the body recovered from Pineview Reservoir Thursday is that of a missing Harrisville man.
Joseph Adam Shultz, 38, was reported missing May 15. Police say Shultz left his home May 13 after an argument with his wife. He went to spend the night at his mother's home and was last seen when he left the residence 6 p.m. on May 14.
His body was discovered by crews who were searching the water not far from where Shultz's car was found May 16. An autopsy confirmed his identity, Weber County Sheriff's Lt. Lane Findlay said.
Schultz was described as suicidal when he disappeared, Findlay said. Inside the vehicle, investigators found a paper bag believed to be from a liquor store and an empty pill bottle, he said.
