MARIOTT-SLATERSVILLE, Weber County — Utah’s 11th annual renaissance festival got an early start Friday with a special education day.
The Utah Renaissance Festival and Fantasy Faire has been a favorite outing for years, bringing performers and vendors from around the country to the beehive state for fun and learning. It runs every Saturday and Sunday in May from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at 1800 West 400 North in Marriott-Slatersville.

Many of the faire’s attendees arrive in their best renaissance dress, with special pirate, steampunk and celtic themes on different weekends. The interactive event provides opportunities to engage in activities like sword fighting and catapult launches, in addition to enjoying performances by musicians, jugglers and storytellers.

A full schedule of events and list of vendors can be found online. Tickets start at $8 for children and $12 for adults.
