BOISE, Idaho (AP) — Authorities say two people have died in a Boise industrial accident. Another person was rescued alive from what officials are calling a trench collapse. The Idaho Statesman reports the three had been reported trapped around 5:30 p.m. Emergency crews brought one person to a local hospital.
BOISE, Idaho (AP) — A draft report taking a hard look at last summer's massive die-off of sockeye salmon in the Columbia River Basin says Northwest fisheries managers must respond faster to reduce future fish kills if similar warm-water conditions return. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration report released late last month describes conditions and assesses actions of fisheries managers in a year when 90 percent of the 510,000 sockeye salmon that entered the Columbia died.
NAMPA, Idaho (AP) — Authorities have identified the body of a man found inside a burning car in the parking lot of a Nampa apartment complex. Twenty-nine-year-old Videll Hanks was found inside the charred vehicle on Sunday.
BOISE, Idaho (AP) — Four women have sued an Idaho doctor who they claim gave them counterfeit breast implants and knock-off Botox without their knowledge during procedures. The lawsuit filed Friday in U.S. District Court contends that Dr. Temp Patterson, a plastic surgeon in Burley, used implants and injected a drug that were imported from China and not FDA approved. Patterson did not immediately return phone calls requesting comment.
