SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Zion National Park is closing the west side of Bridge Mountain for nesting wildlife.

The park said in an announcement Wednesday that the cliffs will close temporarily, until either the chicks fledge or until the locations are cleared of any use, which is usually between late April or early May.

A dozen other cliffs have been closed since March 1.

The park's superintendent said visitors must comply with climbing closures to protect wildlife and are responsible for knowing what's off-limits.
