The answer to yesterday's question is 86% (85.63%, to be precise), and while it was not answered correctly, submissions were in the neighborhood. In the Bronco era, BYU has won 88% of its games when on the "plus" side of the turnover margin; 50% when on the "minus" side.

Today's question:

Austin Collie had 6 games of 100+ yards receiving last year. In BYU history, how many sophomores have recorded more hundred-yard receiving games in a single season?

'Tis the season that many college basketball teams release their 2008-09 schedules, as many conferences have completed scheduling for the coming season. Some schools (like Utah) have released the non-conference portion of their schedule, and BYU plans to do the same, if its non-league schedule is ready before the MWC is ready with its slate of games. Also, some of the Cougars' opponents have now released their schedules, featuring games with BYU.

BYU will open the regular season Friday, November 14th home to Long Beach State.

The dates and opponents for all BYU away games have been finalized, and all but one of the home dates is locked up--once that last home contract is done, BYU will be ready to release its complete non-conference schedule.

Non-league road foes this season are Pepperdine (Nov. 18th), Weber State, Idaho State (Nov. 29th), and Tulsa (Dec. 30th). Neutral court games are Utah State (Dec. 6th at Energy Solutions Arena in Salt Lake City) and Arizona State (Dec. 20th at University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale). The first weekend of January will feature a home game with Wake Forest (the back half of a two-game series that started in Winston-Salem last season).

In addition, BYU will bring back a three-games-in-three-nights, 4-team event at the Marriott Center, likely to be played November 20-22.

UPDATE: The MWC office tells me the schedules for all teams will be out by August 15th at the latest, but possibly earlier, should individual schools' schedules be completed before that date.
