EMMETT, Idaho (AP) — An Idaho company that bought the Emmett sawmill plans to reopen the troubled facility.
KTVB-TV reports (http://bit.ly/1Tgorpa) Gem Forest Products sold the facility to Woodgrain Millwork, which is based in Fruitland.
The company plans to spend the next few months processing inventory and renovating. A news release says employees will have the facility running in February.
Sold repeatedly over the years, Lt. Gov. Brad Little says the Sawmill closed again a few weeks ago. He said this recent purchase is positive news, bringing his hometown employment and economic opportunities.
