SALT LAKE CITY — Are you team Two Legs or team Four Legs?

That's the question that's been blowing up the Internet over the past few days, and if you have no idea what that means, allow me to enlighten you: It's all about dogs and pants.

Specifically, if dogs were to wear pants, would they slip them on the back two legs or go for all four?

The debate has grown more passionate than any of the presidential events thus far, and it all started when writer/editor Jared Keller tweeted a graphic of the two options, posing the now infamous question.

The original tweet has been liked and retweeted more than 30,000 times. Keller himself has been blown away by the response.

So much so, that he decided to post a poll to put the debate to rest. If you're of the opinion that dogs would most definitely wear pants the way we humans do, you're in good company: 81 percent of those who responded to the super formal Twitter poll identified as Team Two Legs.

The whole bizarre debacle has resulted in what I would call animal abuse across the country — with many dog owners trying pants on their unamused pooches and posting pictures in the name of the debate.

Leading me to my next question: Do dogs have any interest in wearing pants at all?

My guess: Nope.

So how do you feel about the world's most pressing topic? Be sure to take our poll in the story body. Also, if you've ever slipped pants on your dog, send us a picture through our User Submitted Gallery below.

And stay tuned for next week's big news: Cats in overalls.
