DRAPER — A man was seriously injured and traffic was delayed after an accident during Monday morning rush-hour traffic.
The accident occurred around 7 a.m. near 7300 South Bangerter Highway, police said. Witnesses told police a male driver attempted to make a U-turn at 7300 South and was hit by oncoming traffic.
The man was ejected from his vehicle and was transported to the hospital in serious condition.
Three lanes were closed on northbound Bangerter Highway at 7200 South during the cleanup of the accident, according to Utah Department of Transportation officials. Traffic was backed up until the lanes reopened around 7:40 a.m.
