TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (AP) — Indiana State University athletic director John Prettyman has resigned after 11 years in that post.

Prettyman announced his departure Friday, saying he had stepped down because it was time for him to move on. He said he would announce his future plans Monday.

The Tribune-Star reports (http://bit.ly/1Yo19lH ) that Prettyman's tenure is the longest of any ISU athletic director since John Longfellow, who served in the position from 1948 to 1965.

Prettyman was hired in 2005 as athletic director at the school in Terre Haute and had overseen growth in virtually every aspect of the campus' athletic department.
